AKAM provides the One Summer Chicago Program to 100 youth who are identified as “high need youth”, between the ages of 16 and 24. The youth reside in the highest-risk communities. The program is designed to provide youth with job skills, financial literacy, and workplace experiences in various businesses and organizations.

We place youth in businesses such as Walgreens, Daycare Centers, Boxing Gyms, etc…

Our intention is for the youth assigned to AKAM to engage in meaningful workforce development activities, job readiness skills, and enrichment activities.
