A Knock At Midnight partners with The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to provide a Safe Passage program that is implemented at select schools, identified by CPS. We are contracted to provide a positive, trusted adult to be present at each school for which we are contracted to ensure students’ safety as they travel to and from school. Our Safe Passage workers are posted on Safe Passage routes to support children traveling to and from school during arrival and dismissal time. 

We hire Safe Passage workers from the community, and they can be identified by their neon-colored Safe Passage vests. Safe Passage workers are employed by our organization and are assigned to schools in communities to serve and keep children safe during their walk to and from school.
